Welcome to Advocacy 101: All the Ways You Can Make a Difference!

The word “advocacy” can seem a bit intimidating, but when you think about it, we’re all advocates for something! Simply put, an advocate is someone who speaks- up for change in hopes that they can improve the world in which they live. Your voice matters and we want to help you use it to become your own advocate in issues that matter to you.

So if you want to learn how to take action or impact change but don’t know how to get started … then this virtual advocacy training series is for you!

What You Will Learn:

In this training series, you will learn about the mission of the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) and how you can help us drive change to create a better world for individuals affected by the disease of obesity.  Anyone can be an advocate, and we’ll show you ALL the ways you can do it.

This series will explore how to tell your personal story, spread the OAC’s message, share our resources and education, tackle key issues like weight bias and access to healthcare, drive legislative change, inspire others, and so much more! You don’t need any special skills or experience to participate in this training series.
