CE Credits

While our Your Weight Matters Convention is geared toward the patient/individual concerned with weight and health, there are many healthcare professionals who choose to attend the meeting to gain a better understanding of the issues that their patients face. YWM2021 – VIRTUAL is a great event series for healthcare professionals to learn more about:

  • Weight and Health
  • Nutrition
  • Mental Health
  • Exercise
  • Treatment Options
  • And More!

CE Credit Information

The OAC is proud to offer CE credits for YWM2021 – VIRTUAL. Nurses and some health professionals can earn up to 16 CE credits when attending the complete virtual event series.

We strongly encourage health professionals to check their eligibility prior to registering to earn CE Credits. When registering for the YWM2021 – VIRTUAL Event Series, health professionals must select the registration option for receiving CE Credits (which includes an additional fee for the CE certificate). Registrants can reach out directly to Taylor College at 1-800-743-4006 and reference the Your Weight Matters Virtual Convention.

Registered Dietitians can claim credits using Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Activity type 171: Live Webinars/Teleseminars for live, real-time webinar presentations. You will receive a certificate from Taylor College with the number of credits for the activity. Please retain an agenda/timing outline to reflect the number of contact hours spent completing this activity. Live webinars/teleseminars do NOT need prior approval from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as long as they meet the core criteria listed at https://www.cdrnet.org/core-criteria. The OAC sessions are relevant, evidence-based, and involve RDNs during planning. You must participate during the live events to be able to claim credits.

*Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider number CEP-3285, for up to 16 contact hours credit.
